This Tascam 42B 1/2 inch 8 channel is in more than good enough condition for repair. Repair range estimate. $1,000-$2,500 (this price would include head relapping)
Known Issues:
- New NAB Hub adapter needed, band band
- Heads need relapping, in good condition for relapping. No need for new/replacement heads
*Other issues could be found during repair but based on experience the above range can be trusted.
The Tascam 48 is one of the better 1/2 inch 8 channel decks; similar in quality to the Otri MKIII-8.
